Have you ever been to the desert? If so, you have probably seen a common animal – the desert iguana.
Those who live in the area say they have seen the iguanas in their yards, people hiding behind large rocks.
Iguanas like to eat flowers and leaves of many shrubs. The iguana will change its color from almost white gray. This is usually done from the early morning hours because the temperatures are lower at midday, when temperatures are much higher. Iguanas do this to avoid getting overheated.
1. Where to locate Desert Iguana
This type of iguana grows in southwestern and western U.S. and Mexico. These include the following states: Utah (southwest corner), Nevada (South Pars), Baja, California, Arizona (central southern regions), Mexico (northwest corner) and finally California, primarily the areas of the Mojave and Sonoran Desert.
