Professional makeup brushes are a bit different from the makeup brushes that are provided as "gifts" when you buy a minimum quantity of cosmetics in the cosmetics counter. The free makeup brushes usually have synthetic bristles that break easily and can cause irritation if you have the sensitive skin. The bristles are not sharp, making it very difficult to blend the makeup correctly. Therefore, the length of time that you use the brushes is very temporary.
Moreover, professional makeup brushes can be more expensive, and never given as "gifts". Less come with synthetic bristles, and the most popular types are the goat, sable, or squirrel. They are available in different sizes and shapes, allowing you to apply correctly makeup to the desired area of the face or body.
I have to admit I'm biased towards professional makeup brushes, and simply comes from my experience with use. Now granted still use a sponge wedge and Q-tip every time I need, but makeup brushes allow me to apply makeup with accuracy. Because I love you eyeshadow So brush the mixture of the colors blend together so well that the look is flawless and complete. There are no hard lines, so it gives me a much softer (and professional) look.
There are several types of professional makeup brushes, but only cover a few that I think is needed for applying makeup all Day:
1. Brush application – usually synthetic and bristles are straight and firm. This brush is used to apply eye shadow and concealer of areas in need. You can usually find in small or large sizes, but choose the size based on your need.
2. Angle Brush – This is my favorite because it is often used to apply eyeliner and fill in sparse areas of the eyebrows with eye shadow. The synthetic bristle brush angle contains also, and is very strong and biased (at an angle). I recommend this brush if you experience difficulties in applying eyeliner, as it can "connect the dots" to form a straight line.
3. Blending Brush – Widely available in natural bristles, this brush is used fluffy eye shadow to blend in eyelids to create a softer look. Note that the smaller brush heads are used for more concentrated mix of head size tends to spread in pigment eyeshadow. Choose the head based on the outcome you are trying to achieve.
4. Powder / Blush brush – also available in natural bristles, this is small enough brush to apply powder to your face, and big enough to powder blush on the cheeks. Because the bristles are tapered, mix well well, and the larger head makes for a uniform distribution.
Makeup brushes have bacteria and age makeup pigments, which can ruin over time, and change the color of the composition that you want. The best way to maintain their professional makeup brushes for washing at least three times a month in a very mild shampoo (preferably baby shampoo). After washing the head, press firmly to squeeze out any unnecessary water, the shape of the bristles, while damp and lay flat to dry. After this extra step will help you achieve the results you want for the coming years.
